Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Accountant in the field of logistics to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in logistics or freight forwarding and possess a solid understanding of accounting principles and practices. Proficiency in Fresa CRM software and knowledge of logistics terms are essential for this role.
Responsibilities:
Financial Record-keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for the logistics department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
Invoicing and Billing: Prepare and process invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely submission to clients. Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments.
Expense Management: Review and verify expense claims, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. Reconcile expenses with supporting documentation.
Financial Reporting: Prepare regular financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Analyze financial data and provide insights to management for informed decision-making.
Cost Analysis: Monitor and analyze costs related to logistics operations. Identify areas for cost optimization and recommend strategies to improve efficiency.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with the management team to develop annual budgets and financial forecasts for the logistics department. Track actual performance against budgeted figures and provide variance analysis.
Compliance and Audit: Ensure compliance with accounting principles, relevant laws, and regulations. Coordinate and assist with internal and external audits as required.
Fresa CRM Utilization: Utilize Fresa CRM software effectively to manage customer information, track shipments, and generate necessary reports.
Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as operations, sales, and customer service, to ensure accurate financial data and resolve any discrepancies. Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders regarding financial matters.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in logistics or freight forwarding.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Proficiency in Fresa CRM software.
Knowledge of logistics terms, including freight forwarding, transportation modes, customs regulations, and warehousing.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
Strong organizational and time management abilities.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
