Junior IT Support Jobs in Abu Dhabi at The Benz General Contracting
The Role:
We’re looking for a proactive Junior IT Support to join our IT department. You’ll provide first and second level technical support to end users across our office and field locations, helping keep our operations running smoothly. This is a hands on role where you’ll gain exposure to enterprise infrastructure, security, and cloud technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first-level technical support to end-users via email and phone
- Troubleshoot Windows 10/11 endpoint issues (hardware, software, drivers, performance problems)
- Resolve user connectivity, VPN, and remote access issues
- Support password resets, email access, and basic account troubleshooting
- Install software and apply Windows updates
- Assist with printer, monitor, and peripheral hardware issues
- Document issues and resolutions in support logs
- Support basic Intune-enrolled device troubleshooting (device compliance, app deployment issues)
- Basic understanding of EDR (Endpoint Detection and Response) alerts and escalation
- Assist users with Mimecast email security features (safe links, email authentication)
- Basic Entra ID account and access management support
- Basic understanding of Azure Site Recovery for disaster recovery and backup operations
- Site visits to construction offices for on-site troubleshooting and hardware support
- Follow established IT security policies and procedures
Required Skills & Experience:
- 1-2 years of IT support or helpdesk experience
- Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11 operating systems
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting desktop and laptop issues
- Basic understanding of Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams)
- Basic experience with Microsoft Intune (device management, enrollment, policies)
- Basic understanding of Entra ID (Azure AD) for user accounts and access management
- Basic networking knowledge (IP addresses, DNS, connectivity concepts)
- Hardware troubleshooting skills (desktops, laptops, printers, peripherals)
- Ability to document issues clearly
- Reliability and attention to detail
Desirable Skills:
- Basic understanding of EDR (Endpoint Detection and Response) concepts
- Familiarity with email security tools like Mimecast
- Exposure to Azure Site Recovery or backup/disaster recovery concepts
- Exposure to virtualization concepts or Hyper-V
- Active Directory basics
- CompTIA A+ certification or similar entry-level IT certification
