As we continue to grow, we are looking for a detail-oriented Junior Internal Audit Officer to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, internal controls, and governance processes across our organization.

Role Overview:

As a Junior Internal Audit Officer, you will be responsible for conducting audits, identifying areas for improvement, and ensuring compliance with internal policies, industry regulations, and international standards. Your work will play an essential role in providing independent and objective assurance to the Board of Directors and senior management.

Key Responsibilities:

Audit Planning & Execution: Assist in planning and executing audits in areas like underwriting, claims, and premium collection, with a focus on risk management and compliance.

Risk Assessments: Identify risks and collaborate with senior auditors to improve internal controls and operational efficiency.

Fraud Detection & Prevention: Support fraud detection efforts and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Reporting: Prepare concise audit reports, summarizing findings and recommending improvements.

Collaboration & Support: Work along the audit team and other departments to implement audit procedures and effective actions.

Who You Are:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.

Experience: 1-3 years in risk management, internal audit, or compliance in the insurance sector.

Certifications: CIA, CPA, ACCA, or CFA preferred.

Technical Skills: Knowledge of IFRS (especially IFRS 9 and IFRS 17), proficient in audit software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Soft Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, high integrity and ethical standards.

Other: Ability to work independently and in a team, familiarity with insurance industry regulations, and knowledge of COSO Framework and IIA Standards is a plus. Ability to handle confidential information discreetly.
