Junior Facilities & Maintenance Engineer Jobs in Dubai at AFR
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular inspections of company buildings, facilities, equipment, and common areas to identify maintenance requirements.
- Inspect and monitor ongoing civil maintenance works, including painting, plastering, flooring, ceiling, waterproofing, doors, partitions, and minor repair works.
- Monitor MEP maintenance activities, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, drainage, and related building services.
- Coordinate and follow up on firefighting and fire alarm system inspections, testing, maintenance, and rectification works.
- Monitor contractors and technicians to ensure maintenance works are carried out according to the approved scope, quality standards, and agreed timelines.
- Attend site and check the progress and quality of ongoing maintenance works.
- Identify defects and prepare maintenance requests/reports with photographs and recommendations.
- Coordinate with contractors for quotations, site inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance activities.
- Follow up on pending maintenance issues until proper completion and closure.
- Assist in preparing preventive maintenance schedules and ensuring scheduled maintenance is completed on time.
- Verify completed works and report any defects or incomplete work to the concerned supervisor/manager.
- Maintain records of building inspections, maintenance activities, service reports, quotations, and contractor visits.
- Assist in coordinating emergency breakdowns and urgent maintenance requirements.
- Ensure maintenance activities are carried out safely and in accordance with company procedures and applicable UAE requirements.
- Support senior management/engineers in facility improvement, renovation, and maintenance projects.
- Perform regular follow-up visits to different company properties/buildings as required.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or Facilities Management.
- 0–2 years of experience in building maintenance, facilities management, or a similar role.
- Fresh graduates with relevant technical knowledge may also be considered.
- Basic knowledge of civil, MEP, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, firefighting and fire alarm systems.
- Ability to inspect maintenance work and identify defects or incomplete work.
- Good understanding of preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Ability to coordinate and monitor contractors and maintenance technicians.
- Good knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel and Word.
- Ability to prepare basic maintenance reports and inspection records.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Willingness to travel between company buildings/sites within the UAE.
- UAE driving license would be an advantage.
- Candidates with experience in building/facilities maintenance will be preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: AED3,000.00 – AED4,000.00 per month
