Junior Estimation Engineer – Mechanical Jobs in Doha at Inspire Management Training Center
We are seeking a Junior Estimation Engineer – Mechanical to support our MEP estimation team in preparing accurate cost estimates, BOQs, and tender submissions for mechanical systems. The ideal candidate should have Qatar MEP experience with good knowledge of mechanical systems, drawings, specifications, and estimation processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze mechanical drawings, specifications, and tender documents for MEP projects.
- Prepare detailed quantity take-offs, BOQs, and cost estimates for mechanical works.
- Assist in preparing tender submissions, quotations, and project cost calculations.
- Review project requirements, scope of work, and technical specifications.
- Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotations and material prices.
- Evaluate supplier offers and support cost comparison activities.
- Prepare material take-offs for HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and firefighting systems.
- Assist senior estimators in budgeting and cost control activities.
- Maintain estimation records, cost databases, and project documentation.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and project teams for estimation requirements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 3–5 years of Qatar experience in MEP estimation.
- Good knowledge of mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and firefighting.
- Ability to read and interpret MEP drawings and technical specifications.
- Experience in BOQ preparation, quantity take-offs, and tender documentation.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and estimation-related software/tools.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Qatar/GCC project experience preferred.
