What’s the job?
As JR. Duty Manager, you are responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests and to one another. Be an ambassador for our hotel team where you will provide support as needed throughout all departments in support of efficient hotel operations and a memorable guest experience. Understand the company’s objectives, standards, processes, and plans.
Embrace the values and culture of the company and how they influence our actions.
Understand the company loyalty program, tiers, points, and guest enrolment system.
Achieve customer expectations and performance targets of the department.
Go the extra mile to deliver exceptional customer service.
Maintain a warm and friendly approach to team members and positively share workloads, skills, and knowledge.
Address customer comments and complaints and act on feedback from team leaders.
Be aware of costs and cost control, including waste management and budget targets.
Report directly to and communicate with the Front Office Manager on all matters affecting guest service and hotel operations.
Coach the team to align with the short-term and long-term plans of the business.
Support daily management activities that reflect the company’s values and culture.
Implement operational and service standards set out in the Corporate Standard; mediate these standards to line managers.
Collaborate closely with team leaders to support team members and ensure they have a strong sense of direction.
Manage the department’s technical standards to ensure compliance with corporate policy and industry practices.
