Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant with a minimum of 1 year of accounting experience in the construction or interior fit-out industry. The ideal candidate will support the finance team in maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Record daily financial transactions in the accounting system.
- Prepare and process supplier invoices, payments, and receipts.
- Reconcile bank statements, supplier accounts, and customer ledgers.
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
- Prepare journal entries and maintain the general ledger.
- Monitor project-related expenses and allocate costs accurately.
- Assist in preparing monthly financial reports and management reports.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Maintain proper filing of financial documents and records.
- Assist with VAT documentation and statutory compliance.
- Coordinate with project, procurement, and administrative teams regarding financial transactions.
- Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 1 year of accounting experience in a construction or interior fit-out company.
- Good knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Experience with accounting software such as Tally, QuickBooks, Zoho Books, or ERP systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of VAT regulations.
- Experience in project costing and construction accounting.
- Immediate availability is an advantage.
