Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to support our finance and accounting operations. The ideal candidate will assist with daily accounting tasks, maintain accurate financial records, and ensure compliance with company policies. Proficiency in both English and Tamil is required for effective communication with clients, vendors, and team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in maintaining accounting records and financial transactions.
- Prepare and process invoices, payments, and receipts.
- Reconcile bank statements and accounts.
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
- Maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable records.
- Support payroll processing and expense tracking.
- Ensure proper filing and documentation of financial records.
- Assist with audits and tax-related documentation.
- Communicate with clients, suppliers, and internal departments regarding financial matters.
- Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 1–2 years of accounting experience preferred (fresh graduates may apply).
- Knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Language Requirements
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
- Fluent in Tamil (spoken).
- Ability to communicate effectively with they language-speaking clients, staffs and stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ERP or accounting systems.
- Knowledge of UAE VAT regulations (if applicable).
- Professional accounting certification is an advantage.
