Joinery Draftsman – Roles & Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed joinery shop drawings (wardrobes, kitchens, doors, panels, furniture) using AutoCAD and sometimes SketchUp
- Create cutting lists, sections, and detailed fabrication drawings for production
- Coordinate with carpentry workshop, production team, and site engineers
- Ensure drawings match design intent, site measurements, and material specifications
- Develop CNC-ready drawings and support machine operators if required
- Revise drawings based on site changes and client approvals
- Check feasibility of designs for manufacturing and installation
- Maintain proper drawing documentation and version control Key Skills
- Strong knowledge of joinery detailing and woodworking techniques
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory); knowledge of CNC software is a plus
- Understanding of materials (MDF, plywood, veneer, laminates, hardware)
- Ability to read and interpret interior design drawings
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
