Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical Design Engineer specializing in HVAC systems to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have 3-4 years of experience in Building Information Modeling (BIM) and expertise in 3D software such as Revit and HAP. This role requires a professional who can design, analyze, and optimize HVAC systems to meet project requirements while adhering to industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
HVAC System Design:
Develop detailed HVAC designs, including heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, using advanced 3D modelling software (Revit, HAP).
Ensure designs meet project specifications, building codes, and industry standards.
BIM Modelling:
Utilize BIM software to create and manage 3D models of mechanical systems.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate HVAC designs into overall project models.
Load Calculations and Analysis:
Perform cooling/heating load calculations using software like HAP.
Analyze system performance and recommend design optimizations.
Project Coordination:
Work closely with project managers, architects, and other engineers to deliver cohesive project outcomes.
Participate in design reviews, providing technical expertise on HVAC systems.
Documentation:
Prepare detailed technical drawings, schematics, and specifications for HVAC systems.
Maintain accurate records and documentation for all projects.
Quality Assurance:
Conduct system inspections and testing to ensure compliance with design and safety standards.
Provide troubleshooting and technical support during project implementation.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
3-4 years of professional experience in HVAC design and BIM.
Proficiency in Revit, HAP, and other 3D design software.
Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, building codes, and industry standards.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with additional software tools such as AutoCAD, Navisworks, or similar platforms.
LEED accreditation or experience with sustainable building practices.
Experience working on large-scale commercial or industrial projects.
