Job Description
The IT Project Manager ensures timely delivery of projects by efficiently managing resources. Also, manages the contractual process and relationship with vendors to ensure optimum service quality before, during and after the execution of projects.
Responsibilities
Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for flawless execution of projects.
Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budget.
Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
Ensure resource availability and allocation.
Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress.
Manage changes to the project scope, schedule and costs using appropriate verification techniques.
Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders.
Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors.
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
Meet with business users to take detailed ordering briefs and clarify specific requirements of each project.
Delegate project tasks based on staff members’ individual strengths, skill sets and experience levels.
Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals.
Meet budgetary objectives and adjust project constraints based on financial analysis.
Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with the management as well as other staff members.
Use and continually develop leadership skills.
Develop spreadsheets, diagrams, and process maps to document needs.
Research vendors to find the best products and prices available within a given market.
Perform and manage the procurement and tendering process for IT department as per organizational procedures.
Perform technical and commercial evaluation of proposals as per organizational procedures.
Negotiate new and existing vendor contracts.
Establish standards and guidelines for vendors, monitoring vendors to ensure these policies are being followed.
Cultivate and maintain relationships with vendors.
Perform as functional bridge amongst external vendors as well as internal stakeholders.
Track, measure, report and evaluate vendor performance.
Troubleshoot all project and vendor issues and escalate to management as needed.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required Skills:
Experience in managing both waterfall and agile project management methodologies.
Experience in managing IT projects across multiple technical domains including networks, business applications and cloud technologies.
Preferred To Be Experienced In Managing Cloud Technologies-based Projects.
Experience in procurement and tendering.
Experience in Contracts administration.
Experience in IT project management framework.
Experience of working with frameworks like ITIL service framework, ISO 27001 etc.
Required Qualification
Bachelor’s degree.
7 plus years of experience.
PMP Certified.
