Position: IT Manager/Administrator (Saudi National)

Setec Middle East (ME), as a subsidiary of thesetec group, is specialized in civil engineering (transportation, energy, industrial and hydraulic infrastructure), building engineering, bridges, underground structures, nuclear infrastructures, urban planning, electrical and electromechanical facilities, safety within civil engineering infrastructures and their users, maintenance and rehabilitation of infrastructures.

Furthermore, Setec ME offers an environmental scope of services and Project Management Consultancy (PMC) to our regional clients.

We are looking for our IT Manager/Administrator (based in our Setec Middle East HQ office in Riyadh).

Reports Directly to: Setec ME Support Services Dept. Manager (based in Riyadh)

Reports indirectly to: Setec IT Group Team (based in Paris)

Key Responsibilities

Ensuring the management of local IT

Oversee the implementation and maintenance of hardware, software, systems

Participates in the evolution of the IS projects of the Setec group

Participates in the improvement of the department’s processes

Ensures strict compliance with safety guidelines

Develop and implement IT strategies that align with the company’s objectives in line with those of the Setec group

Prepare, track, and present regular indicator reports on IT operations, including performance metrics, incident reports, and project status updates.

Develop and implement IT operational policies, procedures and best practices.

Collaborate with the Group IT Department (based in Paris)

Providing local support to Setec employees

Manage orders (hardware and software)

Employee onboarding: ensuring the delivery of equipment and IT access to the new employee (preparation, installation, follow-up).

Oversee incident management and ensure timely resolution of IT issues to minimize downtime.

Manage the life cycle of IS elements (users, computers, access, mailbox, etc.)

Manage inventory and supplier relationships

Continuous improvement

Evaluate existing systems and recommend improvements to improve efficiency and security (monitoring).

Manage the implementation of new technologies to improve efficiency and productivity.

Keep up with the evolution of regulations, standards and best practices.

Windows 11

Office 365 including Teams and Microsoft Office suites

EDR-like antivirus tools

Business tools:
Autodesk, other design office software

Microsoft Server Environment (2012R2-2022), Linux

Various applications (finance, legal, HR, etc.)

GLPI for inventory

Key soft skills

Proven experience in IT operations management, with a strong understanding of IT infrastructure and services.

Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to act with integrity, professionalism and confidentiality.

Proficiency in Microsoft products (Microsoft Office suite).

Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks.

Management skills and empathy.

Fluency in written and spoken English.

Positive and constructive attitude.

Education & Experience Required

BCS in information technology, computer science or a related field

Min. 5 years of experience in the IT field.

Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage projects across multiple locations in the kingdom.

Ability to work independently and manage IT operations without a dedicated team.
