IT Internal Audit Section Head
Job Purpose:
To ensure the adequacy and effectiveness of IT systems, compliance with security and regulatory standards, and evaluate the infrastructure of IT resources. The role includes identifying areas for improvement and ensuring execution of appropriate corrective actions, while supervising and reporting audit findings and opportunities for enhancing human and material resources.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Job Duties:
Implement the approved IT audit plan, define scope and objectives to ensure comprehensive coverage of technical risks.
Supervise reviews of general IT controls including governance, operations, data protection, system efficiency, and compliance with global standards.
Oversee application reviews, including access controls, data input, processing, and privacy protections.
Supervise the development of detailed audit reports and corrective action plans in coordination with concerned departments.
Monitor internal technical control systems to assess IT risks and evaluate effectiveness of controls.
Apply best practices and global standards in developing and executing IT audit methodologies.
Audit and assess systems and applications to ensure compliance with security and development standards.
Deliver IT audit reports that ensure protection against cyber threats and help improve information systems.
Ensure coordination with technical departments to align audit activities with operational processes.
Verify IT systems readiness to meet organizational needs and ensure data quality.
Develop technical reports with recommendations to enhance cybersecurity.
Undertake other duties as assigned by the direct manager.
Comply with policies, regulations, and ethical standards of the organization.
General Tasks:
Assist in implementing the organization’s general audit strategy and align IT audit outcomes with strategic goals.
Participate in developing objectives and operational plans for the IT audit department.
Enhance communication and coordination with internal and external stakeholders for improved audit effectiveness.
Stay up-to-date with global IT audit trends and practices to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
Provide necessary resources and support for the department’s staff, including training and performance evaluation.
Develop and document workflows and procedures for the IT audit department.
Prepare periodic reports (monthly, quarterly, etc.) on achievements, challenges, and support needs to aid decision-making.
Qualifications and Experience:
Education & Certifications:
Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
Preferred: Master’s degree in the same fields.
Professional Experience:
Required: 6–9 years of experience in auditing and reviewing technical systems, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
Language Requirements:
Proficient in Arabic (official work language).
Proficient in English (preferred).
