The IT Governance Specialist supports the implementation and maintenance of IT governance frameworks, ensuring alignment between IT services and business objectives. The role focuses on policy enforcement, risk management, compliance monitoring, and continuous improvement of IT processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in implementing IT governance frameworks such as COBIT, ITIL, and ISO standards (e.g., ISO/IEC 20000, ISO/IEC 38500).
- Support the development, review, and enforcement of IT policies, procedures, and standards.
- Monitor IT compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
- Participate in IT risk assessments and maintain the IT risk register.
- Assist in internal and external IT audits, including evidence collection and follow‑up on findings.
- Track and report governance of KPIs, KRIs, and compliance metrics.
- Coordinate with IT and business teams to ensure proper implementation of controls.
- Support documentation management, including policies, SOPs, and governance artifacts.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and support governance maturity initiatives.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in IT governance, IT audit, risk management, or compliance.
- Basic understanding of governance frameworks such as COBIT, ITIL, and ISO standards.
- Familiarity with IT controls, risk management concepts, and audit practices.
- Strong documentation and reporting skills.
- Good analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Effective communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
- Preferable located in Alhsa or near the location.
- Arabic speaker.
Preferred Certifications (Optional)
- COBIT Foundation
- ITIL Foundation
- ISO 20000 Foundation / Lead Implementer
- CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor) – advantageous
