JOB DESCRIPTION
ROLE PURPOSE
The role holder is responsible to carry out the daily routine work of deploying and governing the Enterprise Architecture for SGS, provide support in IT enterprise architecture design, undertake the necessary changes/improvements to enable efficient delivery of critical business processes, and lead the support, business requirements handling, and enhancements of one or more functional IT systems end to end.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Operational
Participate in the IT roadmap & strategy by leading this exercise for the systems they own. Provide support in migration strategies for applications and information technology architecture in order to meet business demands and growth.
Assist in the required analysis to define the architecture roadmap with the goal of reducing costs and improving time to market for IT services.
Own an IT solution or a group of small solutions that are used by a specific function in the Company. Be a single point of contact for that division within IT and attend all business scoping meetings.
Lead IT implementation projects for the function assigned as per the IT masterplan & management directions. Work with business to define requirements and with Procurement to finalize RFP and PO processes.
Engage and lead assigned contractors to provide support for IT systems within the assigned scope of work.
Ensure the compliance of solution architectures with the master IT enterprise architecture.
Undertake the development and review of proposals of SGS projects for the functional customers.
Undertake cost-benefit analysis for adopting new technologies and alignment with technology strategies.
Assist in development of IT technical standards documentation to ensure technology compliance.
Define and maintain data, application, and technology architecture.
Liaise with relevant departments to ensure integration and harmony of the architecture.
Undertake the maintenance and continuous update of application blueprint to ensure overall application architecture visibility.
Keep abreast with industry related technologies and trends and guides the technology roadmap development in line with SGS’s Business requirements.
Ensure leveraging the knowledge resources in SGS to provide technical recommendations and trends to other stakeholders within IT Function.
Contributes to performing design reviews in order to ensure that all IT applications are inter-operable, manageable and adaptable.
Assess any possible redundancy of IT application functionalities within the application architecture in order to minimize costs.
Contributes to planning for future application architecture is properly identified and complies with leading frameworks and standards.
Ensure data architecture is implemented effectively and all architectural and technical standards are adhered to.
Development of optimized solutions and proposes domain specific remedial solutions to existing data inconsistencies and lack of integrity in order to optimize data storage and reduce costs.

Minimum Education Required
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required e.g., Computer Science or Management Information Systems
