Istant Manager – Pipe Jobs in Dubai, UAE at Drydocks World – Dubai
Supervises the day-to-dayoperations of the pipe department to ensure that work processes areimplemented as designed and comply with established policies,processes and procedures.
Having the health andsafety as the first priority on dailyactivities.
Reviews, approves and follows upproject programmes and take appropriate measure where required forcontractual delivery of projects
Research anddevelopment of new work techniques and technologies related to pipefabrication and welding, including improvement of documentationprocess flow for the Department.
Receiving fromthe Department Manager and execution of any work relatedinstructions.
Substitution of the Department Manager during his absence, when appointedso.
Definition of the priorities for the dailywork processes of the Department.
Liaison withother trades, Ship Repair Managers, Superintendents ensuring smoothworkflow on projects.
Inspection of work sitesinside the department (workshop, offices) and on board in order tomake sure resources are optimised.
Raise Occurrence Reports and approve repair methods for rejectedwork.

Prepares and recommends the Pipesection budget by preparing analysis and data related to specificelements as directed.
Monitors the financialperformance of the Pipe section against budgets so that areas ofunsatisfactory performance are identified and rectified promptlyand potential performance improvement opportunities are capitalisedupon.
Qualifications/Experience/Skills Graduatein Engineering discipline.
Strong pipingconstructions management skills, familiar with international pipingcodes and standards.
Proven strong leadershipquality and exceptional understanding of the other discipline like Electrical/Instrumentation, Mechanical, and Structural activitiespoint of view.
Strong construction planningskills & monitoring skills.
10 yearssignificant experienced in the field of shipyard, refinery plant,oil & gas offshore experience related to pipingconstructions.
An experienced leader, motivatedwith excellent
communication
and interpersonal skills able tocontrol multinational workforce in a dynamicsituation.  Key Skills  Management
