Irrigation Inspector
Experience Requirement:
Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering, Irrigation Engineering, or Water Engineering from an accredited university with at least 7 years of relevant experience, or 12 years of direct, related field experience.
Role Summary
The Irrigation Inspector is responsible for inspecting, monitoring, and verifying all irrigation‑related works at project sites. The role ensures compliance with approved designs, specifications, water‑management standards, and environmental requirements for landscape and infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Irrigation Site Inspection — Conduct daily inspections of irrigation networks including pipelines, valves, pumps, control units, sprinklers, and drip systems.
- Quality Verification — Ensure materials and workmanship comply with project specifications and irrigation standards.
- System Testing — Witness pressure tests, flow tests, and verify proper installation and operation of irrigation components.
- Compliance Monitoring — Verify adherence to approved method statements, ITPs, and environmental regulations.
- Reporting — Prepare inspection reports, NCRs, daily logs, and follow up on corrective actions.
- Coordination — Work closely with irrigation engineers, landscape teams, contractors, and consultants to resolve technical issues.
- Material Inspection — Inspect delivered irrigation materials (pipes, fittings, controllers) and verify conformity with approved specifications.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering, Irrigation Engineering, or Water Engineering (accredited) with 7+ years relevant experience, or 12+ years direct field experience.
- Strong knowledge of irrigation systems, water distribution, pumping systems, landscape irrigation, and water‑saving technologies.
- Familiarity with irrigation standards, pressure testing, and system commissioning.
- Excellent reporting, communication, and site‑monitoring skills.
- Ability to identify system defects and enforce corrective actions.
