Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Retail Merchandiser with a strong focus on data analysis to optimize product placement, inventory management, and sales performance. The ideal candidate will leverage data-driven insights to enhance merchandising strategies, improve customer experience, and drive revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze sales trends, customer behavior, and inventory levels to optimize product placement and replenishment.
Develop and maintain merchandising reports, dashboards, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to support decision-making.
Collaborate with buyers, suppliers, and store managers to ensure effective merchandising strategies.
Identify opportunities for product promotions, markdowns, and inventory adjustments based on data insights.
Monitor market trends and competitor strategies to refine merchandising approaches.
Conduct A/B testing on visual displays and promotional strategies to assess effectiveness.
Utilize forecasting tools and predictive analytics to anticipate demand and reduce stockouts or overstock situations.
Work closely with supply chain and logistics teams to improve inventory flow and minimize waste.
Ensure compliance with brand standards, planograms, and merchandising guidelines.
Provide data-driven recommendations to enhance customer experience and boost conversion rates.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Statistics, Data Analytics, or a related field.
Proven experience in retail merchandising, with a strong emphasis on data analysis.
Proficiency in data analytics tools such as Excel, SQL, Power BI, or Tableau.
Strong understanding of retail KPIs, consumer insights, and market trends.
Ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable strategies.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
Familiarity with inventory management systems and merchandising software.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with machine learning or predictive analytics in a retail setting.
Knowledge of e-commerce and omnichannel merchandising strategies.
Prior experience in a fast-paced retail environment.
Work Environment:
This role involves a combination of office-based data analysis and on-site retail merchandising. Travel may be required to assess in-store execution and collaborate with retail teams.
