Role Purpose
Lead the bank’s international expansion agenda across China and South Korea,
with the objective of increasing trade finance, investment banking, and Foreign
Direct Investment (FDI) flows into the bank’s core markets. The role will support
the bank’s broader Connectivity Strategy by strengthening on-the-ground market presence, deepening strategic partnerships, and establishing sustainable client acquisition and coverage capabilities.
Experience :
1. 12+ years of banking experience.
2. Strong background in International Banking, Corporate Banking, GTB, Trade
Finance, or Strategic Business Development.
3. Proven experience supporting international expansion, market entry, or cross-
border business growth initiatives.
4. Experience working with China and/or South Korea markets preferred.
5. Exposure to trade finance, FDI, connectivity, and international client coverage models.
Profile :
1. Strong understanding of international banking ecosystems and cross-border
trade corridors.
2. Experience designing coverage models and establishing international market presence.
3. Knowledge of trade finance, FDI, and corporate banking products.
4. Experience evaluating product, platform, and operating model requirements for growth.
5. Strong stakeholder management and partnership development capabilities.
6. Ability to engage regulators, financial institutions, corporates, and strategic
partners.
7. Experience developing business cases, target operating models, and
expansion strategies.
8. Fluency in English & Arabic required; Mandarin and/or Korean language capability is advantageous.
9. Willingness to travel extensively and engage with stakeholders across China and South Korea.
