Job Summary:
Responsible for the safe and timely transportation of furniture, materials, and goods using a Light Motor Vehicle (Canter). Ensure proper handling, loading, and delivery of items while complying with company and road safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive company’s Canter (LMV Manual) safely to transport furniture and materials to designated locations.
Load and unload furniture and materials with care to avoid damage.
Follow assigned delivery schedules and ensure on-time deliveries.
Inspect and maintain the vehicle regularly to ensure roadworthiness and report any issues.
Adhere to UAE traffic laws and company driving policies.
Maintain accurate delivery logs and obtain client signatures upon completion.
Assist in warehouse operations, including organizing and moving furniture when required.
Communicate with the logistics team regarding any route changes, delays, or issues.
Ensure cleanliness and upkeep of the vehicle at all times.
Provide courteous and professional service when interacting with clients and team members.
Qualifications:
Valid UAE LMV manual driving license.
Minimum 5 years of driving experience, preferably in furniture or logistics.
Familiarity with Dubai roads, traffic regulations, and delivery routes.
Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and safety procedures.
Ability to lift and move heavy items safely.
Competencies:
Strong time management and punctuality.
Attention to detail in handling and transporting goods.
Good communication skills for coordination with the logistics team.
Responsible and safety-conscious driving habits.
Ability to work independently and adapt to delivery challenges.
