Butcher plays a vital role in assisting the kitchen team with food preparation, cooking, and maintaining a high standard of culinary excellence in the restaurant.
Assist in food preparation tasks, including chopping, peeling, and portioning ingredients, according to established recipes and instructions.
Support the chefs in cooking and presenting menu items in a timely and consistent manner, ensuring adherence to quality standards and plating guidelines.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, including countertops, cutting boards, utensils, and other equipment, by ensuring proper cleaning, sanitizing, and storage.
Assist in receiving and storing food deliveries, checking for quality, freshness, and proper storage conditions.
Assisting the chefs in preparing ingredients, following established recipes and portion sizes accurately.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Previous experience as a kitchen Commis II (Butcher )
Basic knowledge of culinary techniques, food preparation, and cooking methods is desirable.
Passion for food and a strong willingness to learn and grow in a culinary career.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
