The Internal Communication Specialist plays a pivotal role in enhancing employee engagement, fostering clear communication, and strengthening the organizational culture at KFUPM. This position is responsible for developing and executing HR communication strategies that align with the university’s mission, vision, and strategic goals. The role involves creating and disseminating information through various channels to ensure employees are informed, engaged, and aligned with institutional objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Communication Strategy Development:
Design and implement HR communication strategies to enhance transparency and employee engagement.
Align communication efforts with KFUPM’s organizational objectives and Vision 2030 goals.
Content Creation:
Develop high-quality content for HR announcements, newsletters, internal memos, intranet updates, and presentations.
Ensure all communications are accurate, professional, and aligned with the university’s tone and branding guidelines.
Employee Engagement Initiatives:
Collaborate with HR leadership to plan and execute employee engagement programs.
Use communication tools to promote HR initiatives such as training programs, wellness activities, and employee recognition events.
Change Management Communication:
Support the HR team in communicating organizational changes effectively.
Create materials to explain new policies, processes, and systems to employees.
Internal Communication Channels:
Manage and optimize internal communication channels like email, intranet, and digital bulletin boards.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of these channels for continuous improvement.
Employee Feedback:
Develop tools and surveys to gather employee feedback on HR communication initiatives.
Analyze data and recommend improvements based on employee input.
Collaboration:
Work closely with HR and other departments to ensure consistent messaging.
Serve as a liaison between HR and employees to address communication gaps.
Compliance and Best Practices:
Ensure HR communications comply with labor laws and university policies.
Stay updated on best practices in HR communication and recommend innovative approaches.
Key Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
A master’s degree is preferred.
Experience:
5-10 years of experience in internal communication, employee engagement, or related roles.
Experience in a large organization is an advantage.
Skills:
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Arabic language.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and communication tools.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and collaboration.

Knowledge of labor laws and policies.
