JOB SCOPE
As the Internal Audit Manager at Adeera you will lead the internal audit function with independence, professionalism, and strategic focus. Reporting functionally to the Audit Committee and administratively to the CEO, you will oversee audit planning, risk assessment, execution, and reporting, ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements and internal standards. You will work closely with departments across the organization to evaluate internal controls, identify opportunities for improvement, and enhance operational efficiency. Additionally, you will act as the Secretary to the Audit Committee, ensuring governance and oversight are maintained at the highest level.
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and execute the Internal Audit strategy.
- Set short- and long-term goals in line with Adeera’s vision, and develop KPIs and annual plans.
- Oversee policy development and ensure effective departmental performance.
Plan and manage audit activities.
- Create risk-based audit plans and allocate resources efficiently.
- Define audit scope, timelines, and methodologies based on regulatory standards.
Conduct risk assessments and offer recommendations.
- Continuously assess company-wide risks and identify vulnerabilities.
- Provide insights to improve internal controls and streamline operations.
Execute audits across financial, operational, and compliance areas.
- Ensure audit fieldwork aligns with approved programs and best practices.
- Evaluate internal controls, identify issues, and recommend improvements.
Supervise audit fieldwork and teams.
- Lead and monitor audit teams to ensure timely and high-quality delivery.
- Manage task assignments and optimize resource use.
Prepare and present audit reports.
- Draft clear reports highlighting findings and recommendations.
- Present outcomes to senior leadership and track implementation of actions.
Ensure regulatory and policy compliance.
- Stay updated on legal changes and internal policy needs.
- Align Adeera practices with national and international standards.
Lead and develop audit teams.
- Mentor team members and oversee performance reviews.
- Ensure training and development opportunities are provided regularly.
Drive quality and improvement initiatives.
- Monitor audit standards, implement quality assurance programs.
- Identify and apply industry best practices to enhance audit value.
Foster communication with stakeholders.
- Build strong relationships with leadership, auditors, and departments.
- Ensure transparency and understanding across audit activities.
Safeguard audit independence and ethics.
- Uphold objectivity and integrity in all audit activities.
- Promote ethical behavior across the audit function.
Leverage data analytics in audits.
- Use audit tools and data to drive insights and improve audit depth.
- Identify trends and anomalies to inform decisions.
Provide secretarial support to the Audit Committee.
- Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, and maintain records.
- Ensure compliance, follow-up on action items, and advise on governance matters.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field.
- Professional certification required (CIA, CISA, or CPA).
- Minimum years of relevant audit experience, including time in a managerial role (as defined by hiring manager).
- Experience in hospitality, real estate, or related sectors preferred.
