Job roles and responsibilities:
Installation of AC Units:
Install new air conditioning systems (split, central, window units, etc.) according to manufacturer guidelines and local codes.
Ensure that the installation is done correctly, including placing units in optimal locations and connecting electrical systems.
Maintenance of AC Systems:
Perform regular maintenance on AC units to keep them in optimal working condition, which includes cleaning filters, checking refrigerant levels, and inspecting components like the condenser and evaporator coils.
Replace worn-out parts, such as air filters, belts, or motors.
Test system performance after maintenance and ensure it’s running efficiently.
Repairs and Troubleshooting:
Diagnose problems with air conditioning systems, including electrical issues, refrigerant leaks, or malfunctioning compressors.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical or electrical issues promptly.
Replace or repair faulty components, such as capacitors, thermostats, and compressors.
Refrigerant Management:
Check and manage refrigerant levels and ensure that the refrigerant is handled, stored, and disposed of in an environmentally safe manner.
Recharge refrigerants as needed, ensuring proper system function.
System Upgrades:
Recommend and perform system upgrades or replacements to improve system efficiency or adapt to new technologies.
Customer Service:
Provide professional customer service by explaining repair or maintenance needs, offering solutions, and answering customer queries.
Offer advice on proper usage, energy-saving tips, and maintenance practices to extend the lifespan of the AC units.
Safety and Compliance:
Follow safety protocols, particularly when working with electrical systems and refrigerants.
Ensure that all installations and repairs comply with local building codes and safety regulations.
Adhere to environmental and health standards when handling refrigerants and other chemicals.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain records of services performed, parts replaced, and system conditions.
Provide clients with service reports and recommendations for future maintenance or repairs.
Troubleshooting and Diagnostics:
Use specialized tools and equipment (like thermometers, multimeters, and leak detectors) to troubleshoot and test the performance of AC systems.
Requirements:
Below age 40.
Physically capable of lifting heavy equipment, carrying tools, and working in sometimes uncomfortable conditions (e.g., heat, confined spaces).
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Good communication skills for interacting with customers and team members.
Attention to detail.
Qualification:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Freshers are also welcome.
