Interior Designer – Interior Fit-Out & Construction
Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE
Role Overview
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Interior Designer to join our Interior Fit-Out team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing innovative and functional design concepts, preparing technical drawings, and coordinating with project teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects in line with client requirements, budgets, and timelines.
The ideal candidate will possess strong presentation and communication skills, enabling them to confidently present design concepts and effectively engage with clients. A solid understanding of furniture, materials, finishes, and FF&E selection is essential.
Key Responsibilities Design & Technical
- Develop concept designs, mood boards, and space planning layouts.
- Prepare detailed design drawings, including layouts, elevations, joinery details, and FF&E specifications.
- Select appropriate materials, finishes, furniture, lighting, and accessories.
- Prepare design presentations and material submittals for client review and approval.
- Review shop drawings, material samples, and mock-ups prior to production.
- Ensure designs comply with UAE authority regulations, building codes, and project requirements.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure implementation aligns with approved designs and specifications.
- Coordinate closely with Project Engineers, MEP consultants, suppliers, and contractors throughout project execution.
- Support project budgeting, cost control, and value engineering initiatives when required.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–7 years of UAE experience in interior fit-out and construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of space planning, furniture detailing, materials, finishes, and FF&E selection.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, 3ds Max, Chaos Corona, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Excellent presentation, client-facing, communication, and coordination skills.
- Good understanding of UAE authority regulations and approval processes.
- Experience in procurement coordination, supplier management, and material sourcing is an advantage.
- Arabic language proficiency is preferred.
