We are seeking a highly experienced Integration Tech Lead & Solution Architect to lead the design, development, and governance of API and system integration initiatives across the enterprise. This role combines deep technical leadership with architectural vision, enabling scalable, secure, and high-performing integrations aligned with Takamol’s technology strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
Architecture & Design
Define and maintain integration architecture standards, reusable patterns, and design best practices.
Lead solution design discussions and reviews for new API and integration initiatives.
Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, infrastructure, security, and data governance frameworks.
Technical Delivery Leadership
Oversee the end-to-end development and delivery of integration services and APIs.
Provide hands-on support in building APIs, middleware flows, and backend integrations where required.
Guide and review the work of developers to ensure architectural compliance and performance optimization.
API Governance & Enablement
Establish API lifecycle governance including versioning, documentation, and standardization.
Promote API-first design and reusability across the organization.
Collaborate with the API Product Owner, DevOps, and security teams to drive best-in-class integration experiences.
API Monetization
Define usage plans and monetization strategies for public and partner APIs.
Collaborate with finance, product, and commercial teams to implement pricing models, access tiers, and consumption tracking.
Evaluate and integrate API gateway features (e.g., Kong/Apigee monetization modules) with backend billing systems.
Monitor API usage patterns and suggest optimization strategies to maximize value generation.
Developer Portal Management
Own the Developer Portal experience for internal and external API consumers.
Ensure high-quality API documentation, onboarding guides, and usage examples are published and maintained.
Work with design and product teams to enhance portal usability and self-service capabilities.
Continuously update the portal to reflect changes in API versions, availability, and access models.
Collaboration & Communication
Act as a technical link with business teams, external partners, and internal departments.
Translate business integration needs into actionable technical specifications and scalable solutions.
Provide support during testing, rollout, and incident resolution phases.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field.
Minimum 6+ years experience in system integration, API design, at least 2 years in a technical leadership or solution design capacity.
experience with IBM Cloud Pak for Integration (App Connect, API Connect, MQ, DataPower, etc.)
experience with API Gateway platforms like Kong, Apigee, or MuleSoft.
Hands-on experience with RESTful API design, JSON/XML, webhooks, and system integrations.
Solid understanding of OAuth2, JWT, mTLS, API policies, and performance considerations.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and integration testing.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience leading API platform migration or modernization initiatives.
Exposure to microservices architecture, service mesh, or hybrid cloud integrations.
Proficiency with OpenAPI/Swagger, ELK/Grafana, and API analytics.
Certifications in Apigee, Kong, IBM Integration Suite are a plus.
