Job Description:
General Insurance Underwriter. A reputable Insurance company in Qatar is looking for an experienced General Insurance Underwriter. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of general insurance products, underwriting guidelines, risk assessment, and policy documentation.
Responsibilities
- Prepare quotations, policy documents, endorsements, and renewals.
- Review and assess insurance proposals for general lines of business.
- Evaluate risks and determine appropriate terms, conditions, and premiums.
- Ensure underwriting decisions comply with company guidelines and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with brokers, clients, and internal departments for required information.
- Support claims, finance, and operations teams when required.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in General Insurance underwriting.
- Experience in property, engineering, marine, liability, or other general lines is preferred.
- Good knowledge of Qatar insurance market practices.
- Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and insurance systems.
- Valid Qatar transferable visa/NOC.
- Available in Qatar for interview and joining.
