JobPurpose:
The Insurance Agency Companies Supervisor is responsible for supporting in conducting risk assessments, reviewing compliance activities, and providing guidance to agencies. The role involves analyzing operations, evaluating procedures, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations Management:
Implementation of the Division’s policies, regulations, procedures, and controls so that all relevant procedural/ legislative requirements are met while delivering high-quality and cost-effective results.
Identify and assess risks, evaluate implemented procedures/actions of agencies, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
Support in managing ongoing insurance agencies sector compliance with established laws, regulations, and guidelines. Coordinate with the enforcement and inspection departments to receive updates on compliance status and areas of concern.
Actively engage with agents to communicate regulatory expectations and provide guidance on achieving and maintaining compliance.
Support in Preparing reports on supervision activities and findings, highlighting trends, risks, and areas for improvement in the insurance sector.
Assist in reviewing approval/non-objection requests from insurance agencies (non-licensing requests).
Document recommendations based on best practices and international standards to promote operational excellence and compliance.
Develop and update the risk profile for regulated entities on a quarterly basis and set the annual plan based on it.
Follow up on corrective activities imposed on insurance agencies and take necessary actions in cases of non-compliance.
Perform other activities as and when required.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Knowledge and Experience:
0-3 years of relevant experience in insurance brokerages and agencies, inspection and compliance.
Previous experience in government sector or regulatory bodies is preferred.
Education and Certifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or any related specialization.
Relevant Insurance certification (e.g., CIC, CISR, AFSB) is preferred.
