POSITION SUMMARY
The I&C Engineer will work closely with the site Maintenance team, Operations, and Technical Management and is responsible for coordinating, organizing, and executing Instrumentation & Controls activities for preventative and corrective maintenance, aiming to reduce maintenance costs while improving plant reliability and availability.
NATURE & SCOPE
The I&C Engineer, reporting to the Lead Controls Engineer / Engineering Supervisor, is responsible for providing day-to-day support, maintaining safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the Instrument & Controls systems in the facility, as well as executing preventative and corrective maintenance activities.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Safety
Maintain a safe work environment. Demonstrate leadership with all company & industry safe work processes to prevent injuries.
Technical
Provide technical solutions and lead execution plans for all aspects of plants Instrumentations, Analysers, and process controls systems.
Maintain responsibility for long-term Instrumentation & controls planning.
Perform Safety Integrity Level (SIL) assessments and verification.
Provide engineering support during construction & commissioning of the plants.
Interface with Process Engineering to identify gaps & scope of improvements.
Lead technical support services for new installations and modifications.
Operations
Ensure safety of operations personnel.
Provide engineering support to operations to effectively operate ASU, HYCO, CO2 and H2 mobility facilities.
Repair & Maintenance
Establish & maintain close working relationships with plant process engineering & operations personnel.
Project Management/Budget
Employ appropriate project management activities for execution of all projects.
Professional
Lead by example to promote team spirit through good communication.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Engineering graduate with >10 years of related process automation experience.
Troubleshooting knowledge of Siemens PCS7 DCS.
Demonstrated hands-on ability to configure, calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair various plant process instrumentation.
Knowledge of industry codes and standards applicable to Oil and Gas and Refining Industries.
Proficiency in English speaking and writing;
Arabic language skills are a plus.
