Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Dubai for a Senior Government Relation and Authority Manager. The role involves managing and strengthening relationships with local government entities and regulatory authorities, ensuring full compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and licensing requirements. The manager will coordinate submissions, approvals, and renewals for permits and certifications, and act as the primary point of contact for public sector stakeholders. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring regulatory changes, advising leadership on implications for the group’s construction and transportation activities, and representing the company in official meetings and hearings. The role also includes preparing reports and documentation for authorities, supporting internal teams with regulatory guidance, and contributing to strategic planning related to government policies and initiatives.
Qualifications
- Strong Government Relations and Local Government experience, with a proven record of managing authority approvals and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent Communication skills, including the ability to build and maintain professional relationships with public sector stakeholders.
- Robust Analytical Skills for interpreting regulations, assessing policy impacts, and developing appropriate compliance strategies.
- In-depth understanding of Public Sector processes and frameworks in the UAE, especially those related to construction, transportation, and environmental standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Law, Business, Political Science, or a related field; advanced qualifications are an advantage.
- Demonstrated experience in a senior government relations or regulatory affairs role, preferably within construction, infrastructure, or transportation sectors.
- Fluency in English; Arabic language skills and familiarity with UAE government e-services and portals are highly beneficial.
- Strong organizational and negotiation skills, with the ability to work under time constraints and manage multiple authority-related processes simultaneously.
