As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for planning, executing, monitoring, and delivering infrastructure projects successfully, adhering to contractual requirements and established budgets. Your role includes ensuring quality standards, health and safety regulations, and environmental compliance. You will oversee project performance, employee satisfaction, profitability, and effective coordination of all project resources.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management
- Lead the entire project lifecycle from mobilization to final delivery.
- Develop and implement project strategies and execution plans.
- Ensure project completion safely, on time, within budget, and to required quality standards.
- Monitor project performance against contractual obligations and partnership goals.
Project Planning and Scheduling
- Review and monitor project schedules in coordination with the planning engineer.
- Identify potential delays and implement recovery plans.
- Ensure effective allocation and utilization of labor, materials, and equipment.
- Track key milestones and project progress.
Construction Management
- Supervise all construction activities on site.
- Coordinate civil, mechanical, and electrical works and associated activities.
- Ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and established procedures.
- Resolve technical and operational issues affecting project progress.
Contract Management
- Ensure full compliance with contract terms and conditions.
- Review and manage changes, claims, and contractual correspondence.
- Coordinate with commercial and technical teams regarding contractual matters.
- Support the preparation of client reports and submissions.
Financial Management
- Monitor project costs and expenditures.
- Review budgets and monthly cost reports.
- Control project spending and resource utilization.
- Assist in accurate forecasting of costs and financial reports.
Client and Stakeholder Management
- Act as the primary contact for clients, consultants, and regulatory authorities.
- Attend progress meetings and technical coordination sessions.
- Ensure timely response to client requirements and feedback.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with all project stakeholders.
Quality Management
- Ensure adherence to the project quality plan.
- Review non-conformance reports (NCRs) and monitor corrective actions.
- Supervise inspection and testing activities.
- Ensure smooth project handover with a complete punch list.
Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE)
- Promote a strong safety culture throughout the project.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies.
- Review incident reports and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
- Participate in safety audits and management reviews.
Resource Management
- Coordinate labor requirements with human resources.
- Work with procurement to secure necessary materials and equipment.
- Monitor contractor performance and compliance.
Reporting
- Prepare weekly and monthly project progress reports.
- Communicate project status and financial performance to senior management.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for project success.
