Position: Aldar Education – Individual Assistant
Aldar Education is seeking an Individual Assistant for one of our schools in Abu Dhabi, commencing immediately. This role supports a pupil with special education needs in multiple contexts.

Responsibilities
- Provide support for an individual pupil inside or outside the classroom to enable full participation in activities during the school day.
- Be proactive in health and safety matters, including awareness of the pupil’s medical care plan, risk assessment, and personal emergency evacuation plan.
- Support the pupil’s logistical, physical, emotional, behavioural, social or communication needs; this may include intimate care where required.
- Promote the child’s independence in class, group work, friendships, managing belongings and daily routine.
- Support the aims of the school and comply with health and safety, code of conduct and other relevant legislation and school policies.
- Set a good example regarding dress, punctuality and attendance.
- Attend training sessions and professional meetings as required.
- Work with other professionals as needed, e.g., Speech and Language Therapists and Occupational Therapists.
- Build a close working relationship with the class teacher and communicate regularly and openly.
Qualifications
- Diploma in Special Education Needs or an equivalent related qualification.
Minimum Experience
- At least 2 years of experience in Special Education Needs.
