Responsibilities
- Oversee the entire import process ensuring compliance with all international trade regulations and customs laws
- Develop and implement strategic sourcing initiatives to optimize import costs and supplier relationships
- Manage freight forwarders customs brokers and other logistics partners to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery
- Negotiate favourable terms and contracts with international suppliers and service providers
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as Certified International Trade Professional (CITP) or similar are highly valued.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in import operations, international logistics, or trade compliance.
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex import operations within the [Specify Industry, e.g., Retail, Manufacturing, Automotive] sector.
