We’re Hiring: ICU Nurse
Location: Naoero Medical Centre, Republic of Nauru
Naoero Medical Centre (NMC), the national referral hospital of Nauru, is seeking an experienced and dedicated ICU Nurse to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. NMC operates a 65-bed national hospital, including an Acute Critical Care Unit and Paediatric Intensive Care Unit, providing essential healthcare services to the people of Nauru.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU.
- Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment.
- Operate and monitor critical care equipment, including ventilators and cardiac monitors.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to deliver optimal patient care.
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with clinical protocols.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with infection control standards.
- Support patients and their families during critical care management.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Nursing
Valid Nursing License/Registration
Minimum 3 years of ICU nursing experience in a hospital setting
Current BLS and ACLS certifications (preferred)
Strong critical thinking and emergency response skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
