Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Hydraulics Operations Manager to lead and oversee all hydraulic operations across Qatar. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing workshop operations, field service activities, project execution, inventory control, customer satisfaction, and team performance while ensuring operational efficiency, profitability, and compliance with quality and safety standards.
The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in hydraulic systems, leadership capabilities, and extensive experience managing service and repair operations within industrial, oil & gas, marine, construction, and manufacturing sectors.

Key Responsibilities

Operations Management
    • Lead and manage day-to-day operations of the hydraulic workshop and field service teams.
    • Ensure timely execution of hydraulic repair, maintenance, overhaul, and installation projects.
    • Develop operational plans to achieve business objectives and customer requirements.
    • Monitor operational performance, productivity, and service quality.
    • Implement best practices to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs.

Workshop & Service Management
    • Oversee hydraulic pump, motor, cylinder, valve, and power unit repair activities.
    • Ensure quality control procedures are followed throughout all repair and service processes.
    • Manage service schedules, manpower allocation, and resource planning.
    • Monitor workshop utilization and service turnaround times.
    • Ensure proper testing and commissioning of repaired hydraulic equipment.

Project Management
    • Manage hydraulic projects from initiation through completion.
    • Coordinate with customers, suppliers, engineering teams, and subcontractors.
    • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to specifications.
    • Monitor project risks and implement corrective actions when required.

Team Leadership & Development
    • Lead, mentor, and develop workshop supervisors, service engineers, technicians, and support staff.
    • Establish performance objectives and conduct regular evaluations.
    • Identify training needs and implement technical development programs.
    • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Customer Relationship Management
    • Maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
    • Ensure prompt resolution of customer concerns and service issues.
    • Support the sales team with technical expertise and operational planning.
    • Participate in customer meetings and technical discussions when required.

Inventory & Asset Management
    • Manage spare parts inventory, tools, equipment, and workshop assets.
    • Optimize stock levels to ensure operational readiness while minimizing inventory costs.
    • Coordinate procurement activities for critical components and materials.
    • Monitor asset utilization and maintenance schedules.

Financial Management
    • Develop and manage operational budgets.
    • Monitor departmental profitability and cost control measures.
    • Review service contracts, project costs, and resource allocation.
    • Identify opportunities for revenue enhancement and operational savings.

Health, Safety & Quality Compliance
    • Ensure compliance with Qatar regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
    • Promote a strong safety culture throughout all operations.
    • Conduct safety audits, risk assessments, and toolbox talks.
    • Ensure compliance with ISO and quality management systems where applicable.

Reporting & Performance Monitoring
    • Prepare monthly operational reports and KPI dashboards.
    • Analyze operational data and implement improvement initiatives.
    • Provide regular updates to senior management on performance, risks, and opportunities.

Qualifications

Education
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
    • Additional certifications in Hydraulic Systems, Fluid Power, Project Management, or Operations Management are advantageous.

Experience
    • Minimum 10–15 years of experience in hydraulic systems, service operations, or industrial maintenance.
    • At least 5 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
    • Strong experience managing hydraulic workshops and field service operations.
    • Experience in Qatar or the GCC market is highly preferred.

    • Hydraulic Troubleshooting and Diagnostics
    • Condition Monitoring and Preventive Maintenance

Skills & Competencies
    • Strong leadership and people management skills.

    • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
    • Proficiency in ERP systems, CRM platforms, and Microsoft Office.

Preferred Requirements
    • Valid Qatar Driving License.
    • Experience working with international hydraulic brands and OEMs.
    • Knowledge of Oil & Gas, Marine, Construction, Power, and Industrial sectors.
    • Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 45001, and HSE management systems.
    • Arabic language skills will be an advantage.
