HVAC & General Maintenance Technician Jobs in Abu Dhabi at PSI – Property Shop Investment
Key Responsibilities1. Vehicle Operation & Safety
Safely drive and maneuver heavy-duty trucks (e.g., 10+ tons, Category 4/Category 6 UAE licenses).
Adhere to UAE Federal Traffic Law (e.g., speed limits, load restrictions, GPS monitoring).
Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections (brakes, tires, lights, fluids) and report defects.
2. Cargo Management
Load/unload materials (e.g., construction aggregates, fuel, machinery) using appropriate equipment (cranes, forklifts).
Secure cargo with straps, chains, or tarps to prevent shifting/damage during transit.
3. Route Planning
Optimize delivery routes using GPS tools (e.g., Google Maps, Fleet Management Systems) to avoid traffic and meet deadlines.
Coordinate with dispatchers for schedule changes or urgent deliveries.
4. Documentation
Maintain delivery logs, trip sheets, and fuel records.
Verify waybills, invoices, and customs paperwork for cross-emirate or GCC shipments.
5. Compliance
Follow UAE MOHRE (Ministry of Human Resources & Emiratization) regulations for working hours, rest breaks, and overtime.
Comply with Al Ameri Truck Standards and Dubai Police safety guidelines.
6. Vehicle Maintenance
Perform basic maintenance (oil checks, tire pressure, coolant levels).
Report major repairs to the fleet manager (e.g., engine issues, hydraulic leaks).
Qualifications & SkillsMandatory Requirements
Valid UAE Heavy Vehicle Driving License (Category 4, 6, or 8 depending on truck type).
Minimum 2–3 years of experience driving heavy trucks in the UAE/GCC.
Clean UAE driving record (no major traffic violations).
Technical Skills
Ability to operate specialized trucks (e.g., cement mixers, refrigerated trailers).
Basic mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting breakdowns.
Physical Requirements
Physically fit to handle loading/unloading (may require lifting up to 25 kg).
Tolerance for long shifts (8–12 hours) in extreme heat (45°C+).
Soft Skills
Strong time management and communication skills.
Ability to read/write in English (Arabic is a plus).
