Essential Responsibilities:
The designee shall be qualified to maintain, modify, and repair electrical power generating and control systems, automatic transfer switches, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVAC) systems, and associated equipment. They will perform scheduled periodic maintenance on systems and components, and adjust systems to maintain proper voltage, refrigerant levels, current, frequency, and synchronization. The role includes identifying, repairing, and recording malfunctions by removing, repairing, or replacing defective components.
The designee shall maintain systems such as, but not limited to, Cummins generator series DGDK, DSGAB, DGBB, C15D6, C35D6, 125D6D, MEPP series 1050, 1070A, PP-3106A, and utilize Cummins Inpower software for diagnostics. They should be qualified to work from blueprints and drawings, and operate a variety of electrician’s hand tools and testing instruments. Support will be provided for various generator/HVAC systems as detailed in Tables 4.5.1 to 4.5.5, with units ranging from 15kW to 250kW power generation and 1 to 5-ton HVAC split and rooftop configurations.
Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
Universal 608 HVAC certification.
High School diploma or GED. Formal training in power generating equipment and associated systems, such as military technical training, vocational college, or a four-year apprentice program, with experience in electrical power production maintenance and repair.
Willingness to perform duties outside the HVAC trade.
Computer skills for online training, timekeeping, and email communication.
At least four (4) years of practical experience with the equipment to be maintained. Six (6) months of Cummins Commercial, Advanced Medium Mobile Power Source (AMMPS), and InPower Software experience is required.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required).
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to perform tasks such as stooping, bending, kneeling, reaching, lifting, and carrying for extended periods.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.
Ability to obtain and maintain a US CENTCOM Medical Exam.
