HVAC/AC Technician – Facilities Management Job Criteria
Position: HVAC/AC Technician – Facilities Management
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience as an HVAC/AC Technician, preferably in Facilities Management, property management, hotels, commercial buildings, or residential compounds.
- Technical diploma/certificate in HVAC, Refrigeration, Mechanical, or a related field.
- Strong experience in preventive and corrective maintenance of HVAC systems.
- Hands-on experience with split units, package units, AHUs, FCUs, VRF/VRV systems, chilled water systems, and ventilation systems.
- Good knowledge of HVAC electrical controls and components, including compressors, motors, capacitors, contactors, thermostats, sensors, and control panels.
- Ability to perform refrigerant charging, leak detection, pressure testing, vacuuming, and recovery.
- Experience in AC cleaning, filter replacement, coil cleaning, drain-line cleaning, and condensate drain maintenance.
- Ability to troubleshoot water leakage, poor cooling, abnormal noise, compressor issues, and electrical faults.
- Knowledge of BMS (Building Management System) and basic HVAC monitoring is an advantage.
- Ability to follow Preventive Maintenance (PPM) schedules and complete maintenance checklists and reports.
- Experience responding to tenant complaints and emergency maintenance requests.
- Familiarity with CAFM/CMMS systems for receiving and closing maintenance work orders is an advantage.
- Good understanding of HSE procedures and safe working practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a Facilities Management maintenance team.
- Good communication and customer-service skills when dealing with tenants, clients, and site representatives.
- Willingness to work on-call, overtime, weekends, or emergency shifts when required.
- Qatar/GCC Facilities Management experience is preferred.
- Valid Qatar driving license is an advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out PPM and corrective maintenance for all HVAC/AC equipment across assigned facilities.
- Attend and resolve tenant/client HVAC complaints and maintenance work orders.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential HVAC failures.
- Diagnose faults and carry out necessary repairs or replacement of components.
- Maintain AC units, AHUs, FCUs, ventilation equipment, and associated controls.
- Monitor HVAC performance and ensure equipment operates efficiently.
- Record completed maintenance activities, spare parts used, and equipment conditions.
- Escalate major technical issues to the HVAC Supervisor/Facilities Manager.
- Ensure all work is completed according to company procedures, safety standards, and maintenance schedules.
Pay: Up to QAR2,500.00 per month
