Job Title
HSE Officer / Senior HSE Officer
Responsibilities
- HSE Officer
- Conduct daily site inspections to identify potential hazards and unsafe practices.
- Ensure compliance with HSE policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
- Assist in preparing risk assessments, safety plans, and method statements.
- Participate in incident investigations and prepare related reports.
- Deliver toolbox talks and safety training to workers.
- Monitor the use of PPE and ensure adherence to safety standards.
- Maintain HSE records, documentation, and audit reports.
- Support emergency response planning and drills.
- Report unsafe acts and conditions and follow up corrective actions.
- Senior HSE Officer
- Lead and supervise HSE officers, technicians, and safety observers.
- Develop and implement HSE policies, procedures, and site-specific safety plans.
- Conduct advanced risk assessments and identify high-level hazards.
- Review and approve method statements, JSAs, and work permits.
- Lead incident/accident investigations and develop corrective & preventive actions.
- Coordinate safety training programs and competency assessments.
- Participate in internal and external HSE audits and follow up action plans.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in oil & gas and/or heavy equipment industry.
- Certificate in HSE (NEBOSH) preferred or NVQ level 5.
- Knowledge of ISO 14001 and 45001 implementation standards.
- Arabic – native / mother tongue;
English – very good proficiency. - Must own a car and hold a valid driving license.
