HSE Officer Jobs in Doha at Prime Power Middle East
City University Qatar is seeking a proactive and experienced HSE Officer to promote and maintain a safe, healthy, and compliant working environment across the University. Reporting to the Vice President – Operations & Quality / HSE Manager, the successful candidate will oversee health, safety, and environmental initiatives, ensure compliance with local regulations, conduct risk assessments, investigate incidents, and deliver HSE training and awareness programmes for employees and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor workplace health, safety, and environmental compliance across the University.
- Conduct risk assessments and recommend effective control measures.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, and prepare detailed reports.
- Develop and deliver HSE training, inductions, and awareness programmes.
- Maintain HSE records, certifications, and compliance documentation.
- Liaise with government authorities, regulatory bodies, and external stakeholders where required.
- Prepare periodic HSE reports for senior management and recommend continuous improvements.
- Promote a strong culture of health, safety, and environmental responsibility throughout the University.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Health, Safety, Environmental Management, or a related discipline.
- Professional HSE certification (e.g. NEBOSH or equivalent).
- 5–7 years’ relevant HSE experience, preferably within the higher education sector.
- Sound knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations and best practices.
- Excellent communication, organisational, analytical, and presentation skills.
- Valid Qatar driving licence with a clean driving record.

Experience:
- HSE : 5 years (Required)
License/Certification:
- Professional HSE certification (e.g. NEBOSH or equivalent) (Required)
