The HSE Officer is responsible for ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations in the workplace. This role involves conducting safety inspections, enforcing safety policies, and assisting in accident prevention programs to maintain a safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct routine safety inspections of the workplace to identify hazards and unsafe conditions.
Ensure compliance with company HSE policies and local regulations.
Assist in implementing safety procedures, risk assessments, and emergency response plans.
Support incident investigations and report findings to management.
Promote a safety culture by conducting toolbox talks and awareness sessions for workers.
Monitor the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Assist in firefighting, first aid, and emergency drills.
Maintain records of safety inspections, incidents, and corrective actions.
Report unsafe acts and conditions to supervisors and recommend corrective actions.
Support waste management and environmental compliance programs.
Qualifications & Requirements:
High school diploma or Bachelor degree in a relevant field.
Certification in occupational health and safety is a plus (e.g., OSHA, NEBOSH, IOSH).
5+ years of experience in an HSE-related role, preferably in an industrial or construction environment.
Knowledge of workplace safety regulations and best practices.
Ability to communicate safety procedures effectively to workers.
Basic understanding of first aid and emergency response.
Physically fit and able to work in an industrial setting.
