Join us in ensuring safety excellence on our construction site in Makkah! ✨
We are looking for a dedicated HSE Officer on a one year contract with a minimum of 5 years of experience in HSE within the construction industry, to be based full-time in Makkah.
Your Role In Ensuring Safety Excellence
Ensure compliance with HSE policies, Saudi regulations, and SBG client requirements.
Conduct daily site inspections to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
Enforce the use of PPE and monitor safe work practices.
Conduct risk assessments and ensure Permit to Work (PTW) compliance.
Inspect scaffolding, electrical installations, and lifting equipment to ensure safety compliance.
Verify lifting plans and monitor lifting operations.
Ensure confined space entry procedures and fire safety measures are followed.
Monitor heavy equipment operations and traffic management.
Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions, ensuring proper reporting.
Conduct emergency drills, safety inductions, toolbox talks, and awareness sessions.
Maintain HSE records and prepare incident reports.
Ensure subcontractor compliance with project safety standards.
Liaise with site management, client representatives, and regulatory authorities.
What We’re Looking For
✔️ Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or equivalent.
✔️ Minimum 5 years of HSE experience in the construction industry.
✔️ Required Certifications:
NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC)
IOSH Managing Safely
OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Training
First Aid & Fire Fighting Certification
DAR Approved
✔️ Strong knowledge of Saudi HSE regulations, OSHA standards, and SBG HSE requirements.
✔️ Excellent communication and leadership skills.
✔️ Ability to handle emergency situations and provide first aid.
✔️ Proficiency in HSE documentation, risk assessment, and incident investigation.
✔️ Familiarity with construction site operations, equipment, and hazardous materials.
