Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced HSE Officer with a strong background in scaffolding projects and safety management. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations while supporting safe scaffolding activities on construction or industrial sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and enforce HSE policies, procedures, and site safety standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments.
- Inspect scaffolding structures to ensure compliance with safety requirements and project specifications.
- Identify hazards and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Deliver toolbox talks, safety inductions, and awareness training programs.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, and prepare detailed reports.
- Ensure proper use of PPE and adherence to work-at-height safety procedures.
- Support permit-to-work systems and high-risk activities.
- Maintain HSE documentation, records, and reports.
- Coordinate with supervisors, scaffolders, and contractors to promote a safe working environment.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 2–5 years of HSE experience in construction, industrial, oil & gas, or infrastructure projects.
- Practical experience with scaffolding erection, inspection, and dismantling activities.
- Relevant HSE certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, or equivalent).
- Scaffolding Inspector certification is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of work-at-height regulations and safety standards.
- Excellent communication, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- NEBOSH IGC or equivalent.
- Scaffolding Inspector certification.
- First Aid and Fire Safety training.
- Experience working on large-scale construction or industrial projects.
Pay: QAR4,500.00 – QAR5,500.00 per hour
