Role Description

Golden Compass Mining Services is seeking an experienced HSE, ESG & Training Manager. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Jeddah, responsible for overseeing drilling and operational sites across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The role is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the company’s Health, Safety, Environmental (HSE), ESG, and Training functions across all drilling and operational sites. The role ensures full compliance with regulatory requirements, promotes a strong safety culture, and oversees training programs that enhance workforce competency, safety awareness, and operational performance

Key Responsibilities

HSE Management & Compliance

  • Develop and implement company HSE policies, procedures, and management systems.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and site visits across drilling and operational sites.
  • Identify workplace hazards, perform risk assessments, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Monitor HSE performance indicators and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lead investigations of incidents, accidents, and near misses, ensuring effective corrective actions

ESG & Environmental Management

  • Monitor environmental performance related to drilling operations and site activities.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and sustainability requirements.
  • Promote responsible environmental practices and effective waste management.
  • Support ESG reporting and sustainability performance monitoring.

Safety Culture & Awareness

  • Promote a strong safety culture across all departments and operational sites.
  • Ensure employees understand and comply with company HSE policies and procedures.
  • Conduct safety meetings, toolbox talks, and awareness campaigns.

Training & Workforce Development

  • Develop and implement HSE and operational training programs.
  • Conduct safety induction programs for employees, contractors, and visitors.
  • Coordinate internal and external HSE training activities.
  • Maintain training records and ensure workforce competency compliance.
  • Support leadership development in safety and operational performance.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain HSE documentation, reports, safety statistics, and compliance records.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly HSE performance reports for senior management.
  • Ensure proper documentation of inspections, risk assessments, incident investigations, and corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with clients regarding HSE requirements and reporting standards.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Professional HSE certification (NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent) is preferred.
  • Minimum 7–10 years of HSE management experience, preferably within the drilling, mining, or heavy industry sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of international HSE standards and environmental regulations.
  • Proven experience implementing HSE management systems and safety programs

Working Conditions
