HSE ENGINEER & OFFICER WITH ROAD & INFRASTRUCTURE WORK EXPERIENCE (IMMEDIATE JOINER)
A well-established Road Construction Company in the UAE is seeking an Experienced HSE ENGINEER & OFFICER to join our team immediately.
Holding Bachelor of Science in Civil, Mechanical or another relevant Engineering discipline with minimum 3 years’ experience in Road & Infrastructure Works mainly in UAE or GCC countries.
Duties & Responsibilities:
· Develop and implement HSE policies, procedures, and safety management systems.
· Conduct regular site inspections and safety audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance.
· Perform risk assessments and recommend appropriate control measures.
· Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and prepare detailed reports with corrective actions.
· Ensure compliance with UAE HSE regulations, client requirements, and international safety standards.
· Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and training sessions for employees and subcontractors.
· Monitor the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
· Coordinate emergency response plans, drills, and evacuation procedures.
· Maintain HSE documentation, records, and reports.
· Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, and government authorities on safety-related matters.
· Promote a proactive safety culture throughout the organization.
Qualifications & Certifications:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field).
· Professional certification such as NEBOSH IGC, IOSH, OSHA, or equivalent.
· Additional HSE certifications will be an advantage.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Safety Engineer, preferably in the UAE.
- Experience in construction, infrastructure, roadworks, utilities, or industrial projects is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of UAE HSE regulations and international safety standards.
Skills:
- Excellent knowledge of occupational health and safety practices.
- Strong risk assessment and hazard identification skills.
- Good communication and leadership abilities.
- Excellent report writing and documentation skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
- Team player with strong problem-solving skills.
Salary Range:
Negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
