HSE Engineer (Health, Safety & Environment)

The HSE Engineer supports the implementation and monitoring of health, safety, and environmental programs across the workplace and project sites. The role focuses on ensuring compliance with company policies, Saudi regulations, and international HSE standards, while promoting a strong safety culture among employees and contractors.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and improve the HSE Policies, procedures and instructions to be alligned with Saudi Labor Law and Civil Defense Requirements.
• Conduct routine site inspections and safety audits to identify hazards and unsafe practices.
• Assist in developing and updating risk assessments, method statements, and job safety analyses.
• Monitor compliance with HSE policies, procedures, and local regulations (e.g., OSHA, Saudi labor and Civil Defense requirements).
• Support investigation of incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and help prepare reports with corrective actions.
• Deliver toolbox talks, safety inductions, and awareness sessions for employees and contractors.
• Maintain HSE records, permits, training logs, and statistical reports.
• Ensure proper use and availability of personal protective equipment (PPE) and firefighting/emergency equipment.
• Participate in emergency drills and support emergency response planning.
• Promote environmental practices such as waste management and pollution control.
• Coordinate with project teams to ensure safe work execution.
• All assined tasks that are required for business continuty.

Skills & Competencies

• Knowledge of HSE management systems and relevant local regulations.
• Good observation, reporting, and risk-assessment skills.
• Strong communication skills in English and Arabic.
• Proficiency in MS Office and HSE reporting tools.
• Ability to work on-site and respond to emergencies.
