Job Overview:
The Maintenance Supervisor at FirstPoint Technical Services L.L.C is responsible for overseeing and coordinating maintenance activities, ensuring that all electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and civil maintenance tasks are executed efficiently. The role involves supervising a team of technicians, ensuring timely completion of work, maintaining high-quality standards, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Maintenance Operations & Supervision
Oversee and manage daily maintenance activities across multiple sites.
Assign tasks to technicians and ensure timely and quality execution.
Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance needs and improvements.
Ensure all maintenance work adheres to company standards and client expectations.
2. Team Management & Training
Supervise and guide a team of technicians, ensuring optimal performance.
Conduct training sessions on safety protocols, maintenance procedures, and new technologies.
Monitor technician attendance, work quality, and adherence to company policies.
3. Preventive & Corrective Maintenance
Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to reduce downtime.
Ensure quick response to emergency maintenance requests.
Troubleshoot technical issues and provide guidance to the team.
4. Safety & Compliance
Enforce compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Conduct regular safety checks and ensure proper use of tools and equipment.
Ensure all maintenance activities follow Dubai Municipality and industry standards.
5. Reporting & Documentation
Maintain records of maintenance activities, work orders, and team performance.
Prepare reports on completed tasks, materials used, and any outstanding issues.
Provide recommendations for process improvements and cost-effective solutions.
6. Coordination & Client Interaction
Communicate with clients to understand maintenance needs and ensure satisfaction.
Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for procurement of materials and tools.
Work closely with the operations and project teams to plan maintenance schedules.
Requirements:
Technical Skills & Experience:
Proven experience in maintenance supervision within the technical services, MEP, or fit-out industry.
Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and civil maintenance work.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Experience in managing preventive and reactive maintenance programs.
Qualifications:
Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 5+ years of experience in maintenance supervision.
Certifications in health and safety (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) are preferred.
Soft Skills:
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Excellent problem-solving and decision making skills.
Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
Effective communication skills in English.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have):
Experience in the UAE market and knowledge of local regulations.
Valid UAE driving license.
Hands-on experience in both residential and commercial maintenance projects.
