Job Title: Auto Painter
Job Description: An Auto Painter is responsible for painting and refinishing vehicles, ensuring that they look new and meet customer expectations. This role involves preparing vehicles for painting, applying paint, and finishing coats, and performing quality checks to ensure a high-standard finish.
Key Responsibilities:
Vehicle Preparation:
Clean and sand vehicle surfaces to remove rust, grease, and old paint.
Mask off areas that do not require painting using tape and paper.
Fill any dents or scratches with body filler and sand smooth.
Paint Mixing and Application:
Mix paint colors to match the original vehicle color or customer specifications.
Apply primers and sealers to vehicle surfaces to ensure paint adhesion.
Use spray guns to apply paint coats evenly and smoothly.
Apply clear coats to protect the paint and add a glossy finish.
Quality Control:
Inspect painted vehicles for any imperfections, such as runs, sags, or uneven coverage.
Perform touch-ups and corrections as needed to ensure a flawless finish.
Ensure that all painted surfaces meet the company’s quality standards.
