Action Against Hunger Jordan is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented HR and Liaison Officer to support the quality, compliance, and effectiveness of Human Resources operations across the country office. The position plays a key role in payroll administration, recruitment, personnel management, and liaison with governmental entities and service providers.
Working closely with the Head of Support and HR focal points, the HR and Liaison Officer will ensure compliance with organizational policies and Jordanian regulations while contributing to a positive and professional work environment. Key Responsibilities
Payroll & HR Administration
- Support monthly payroll preparation, including timesheets, leave records, and allowances.
- Maintain accurate staff attendance and leave records.
- Support compilation of social security and tax contribution data.
- Ensure personnel files and payroll records are properly maintained and archived.
- Provide HR documentation and support during audits or upon request.
Administrative Support
- Maintain employee contracts, extensions, and leave balances.
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Assist with HR compliance requirements for Cash for Work projects.
- Process per diem and expatriate allowances under supervision.
- Support visitor management by coordinating travel arrangements, accommodation, and all related payments.
- Monitor office supplies and cleaning services to maintain an efficient workplace.
- Keep HR databases and employee records updated.
Recruitment Support
- Assist in the end-to-end recruitment process, including vacancy announcements, application screening, and interview scheduling.
- Prepare recruitment files and ensure documentation is complete.
- Coordinate reference checks and support the preparation of offer letters.
Liaison and Government Relations
- Liaise with governmental entities and local authorities.
- Support submission of official correspondence and required reports to governmental entities.
- Assist in obtaining approvals for project activities.
- Support work permit and residency applications for expatriate staff.
- Coordinate work permit requirements for project beneficiaries.
- Ensure proper registration and compliance of Action Against Hunger bases at national and local levels
External Coordination
- Serve as a focal point for routine communication with the Social Security Corporation.
- Support health insurance administration, including staff enrollment, removal, reimbursements, and documentation.
