Job Summary
The Housekeeping Supervisor works under the direct supervision of the Executive Housekeeper and the SM Housekeeping. The role assists in directing, controlling, and ensuring the cleanliness, orderliness, and physical aesthetics of the assigned area are maintained in accordance with established standards.
Responsibilities
- Records and notes items that require repair and follow up.
- Submits recommendations for painting, repair, furnishing, relocation of equipment and space to the Executive Housekeeper for consideration.
- Coordinates with Engineering on needed repairs/maintenance work and follows up on outstanding work orders as required.
- Follows up and re checks areas not attended to within an acceptable timeframe.
- Ensures all equipment and areas are cleaned.
- Ensures compliance with grooming standards as documented in the Employee Handbook.
- May assist in the housekeeping coordination function (e.g., communication), as needed when volume of tasks permits.
- Drafts or assists in drafting the housekeeping duty roster by providing information on peak periods as early as three days out and ensuring information is updated daily.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a housekeeping supervisor in a five star hotel.
- High proficiency in both written and verbal English.
- Computer skills.
- Effective training skills.
- Willingness to work extended duty hours.
